CONVENTIONAL RADIOGRAPHY (RT)
Conventional Radiography using gamma sources is a prevalent method of Non Destructive Testing within numerous industries including Oil & Gas because of its proven accuracy, cost effectiveness, high level of portability, and extreme diversity.
IIA Field Services’ X-Ray Pipeline Crawler Systems are designed for flaw detection inspection of circumferential butt welds on everything from gathering lines to cross country pipelines with diameters generally between 6 and 60 inches. The speed and safety of our service ensures timely results and minimal restriction to work areas.
ULTRASONIC THICKNESS TESTING (UTT)
A volumetric non-destructive testing method that uses sound waves to propagate through an object.
A non-destructive testing (NDT) process for detecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys. The process puts a magnetic field into the part to facilitate flaw detection.
REMOTE VISUAL INSPECTION (RVI)
Observe, identify and document the internal condition of hazardous environment-rated equipment.
A widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials (metals, plastics, or ceramics). PT is used to detect casting, forging and welding surface defects such as hairline cracks, surface porosity, leaks in new products, and fatigue cracks on in-service components.
